Location and cleanliness

The property has only one bathroom despite being advertised as having 2. Do not be misled. There is one shower room with a shower, basin and toilet. There is also an understairs cloakroom with a toilet and a very small sink (internal measurements of sink - 17cm by 30cm.)

Upstairs bathroom needs some attention

It was fab accommodation for us. Great location which enabled us to explore the fabulous beaches and coastline around the area. We appreciated being able to cook for ourselves and the kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels and linen and spare pillows. Extras like the hairdryers were very welcome, along with sky TV for some chilled time for the kids after busy days out. The big table in the kitchen served us really well for mealtimes and board games. The host was great. We were provided with lots of useful information before we arrived and he was available and on hand for questions throughout the stay.

Absolutely nothing that we didn't like but access to things like a dustpan and brush and some cleaning things would have been helpful with the small dudes. We did the best we could though to keep things as clean and tidy as we found the place.

We chose this place based on previous good reviews. While the location and cleanliness were good, we experienced some challenges. The email instructions for the heat and hot water did not work, so we had to contact the owner, who responded quickly. Then, when we attempted to cook dinner, we could not get the stove to work. Again, I spent 30 minutes with the owner only to discover on our own that several pots did not work on the stove top. The owner ordered new pots to be delivered the next day, which we received. Now it's time to shower, and we can't get the water to turn on. Again, I had to call the owner for instructions. While the place is very nice, it lacks instructions on the operation of the home, and the owner should verify that things function properly. For those planning on spending more than one night, they should be aware that it is a self catered facility and minimal toilet paper, paper towels, and dishwasher tablet. Also, it only has one shower for a 3 bedroom unit. We had 4 adults and had to coordinate showering.

Lovely home in a quiet location but still close enough to walk to the beach and into town. We had a great time.
