The Chapel

The location is superb and the Chapel was well-fitted out with plenty of room and lots of character. The owner, Katy was very easy to get hold of and very responsive. We particularly liked the real fire in the kitchen and the pool table which was great fun when our son and his girlfriend visited. And, being dog-friendly meant that we didn't have to faff around with kennels and their associated costs.

The pool table and fire were excellent. It is a beautiful building that has been tastefully decorated.

The chapel is obviously difficult to heat, so probably better in the warmer months. Unfortunately the downstairs shower was cold as the thermostat was broken and couldn't be fixed as it was the weekend. The fire definitely helped and we were given extra logs when we asked for them. The upstairs bedroom could benefit from bedside lamps.

How well equipped the property is

Good base for visiting family. Very comfortable and well equipped. My son loved the mezzanine bedroom.

Bathrooms were cold - the underfloor heating in the main bathroom only worked on the first day. They could also have done with towel racks and toilet roll holders.

Lovely location , quirky and cute

Cobwebs in main bathroom all down corner , and in bedrooms on ceiling which isn't nice to see and makes me think what else isn't clean but just cleaned as we went .. Very well equipped kitchen . Beds were very hard, and it wasn't enjoyable sleep then dining chairs inside and out all hard and sofa to low, so missed our home comfort, and couldn't just sit comfortable. Property is a lot smaller than pictures show, very good pictures to sell the property though .

Pretty location and very well kept. Pool table is a real boon.

Couldn’t get fire stick to work for Netflix but that’s a bit of a first world problem and didn’t affect what was a terrific stay.

The Chapel itself, with all the history and quirks, was truly glorious. The location was perfect for us too. The host was very helpful and lovely as well. I highly recommend.
