Abbey Cottage

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, the photos don’t do it enough justice! Upon arrival, we were just blown away. The cottage is so clean & well presented. The owners have really thought of every detail & it is exceptional! There’s even a “crap drawer” that has loads of random bits you might need from blu tak to milk magnesia & that just made it for me 👌🏻. All of the quilts were hand tied in bundles on your bed, and there was a fab little welcome pack telling you all about local amenities - which is handy as you are literally on the doorstep of a busy little town. We travelled with two young children (5 & 8), and honestly they thought it was amazing! There’s dvd’s and board games and a few toys for the little ones. And my favourite thing of all was that the owners had left a multipack of kiddies cereal for us & milk in the fridge. It really is the little things & every single thing has been thought about at this property & we fell in love with the cottage! We can’t wait to return 🥰

We loved how well-stocked the kitchen was in terms of pots, utensils, etc, it made it easy to prepare an evening meal/breakfast Great location to walk into and out of Shrewsbury.

Well laid out and directions for everything from the shower to the central heating. Lovely decor in keeping with the age of the building.

Very convenient, quiet location. Well equipped kitchen. Good communication from the host. The key safe was easy to use. Nice little shared courtyard

The bathroom could do with an upgrade. The beds were too soft for some of the guests. The armchair in the living room was uncomfortable. There were quite a few spiders and webs at the property.

Hosts really communicative, perfect location, amazing clean cottage. Lots of games, local info and DVDs available. Easy to park outside. Right next to Asda for a quick shop but also a lovely quick walk into town.

Mattress on the double bed is quite creaky if I was being picky!

What a lovely homely cottage. Exceptionally clean/ decor lovely. Beds extremely comfortable ( which can be a problem for me as don’t sleep very well away from home), slept like a log. Very warm- central heated. Didn’t need on for long. Very well equipped eg: bedding/towels /iron/ironing board provided . Plenty wardrobe provision. , bottle of milk/cereal /tea/sugar/coffee ,condiments , which would start you off if staying more than few days. Tv, games/films tourist information also provided. Unfortunately didn’t meet owners in person but communicated via speaking on mobile and txting. Very friendly. Booking information very clear and informative With how to get access to property.

People always say there is always room for improvement but can honestly say couldn’t find fault.
