"Drinking hot coffee at dawn surrounded by nature. A treat."

9.0

While we didn't meet Piers in person, he was communicative and made sure our accommodation needs were met before arrival. The place was spacious, clean, warm and inviting. We were three adults and a toddler. The place had suitable equipment for families (high chair/baby gate/cot). Beds were very comfortable and there was a nice deep bath. Kitchen is well equipped with coffee and tea provided. WiFi signal is good and the TV's are Netflix ready. Apart from all the basics, we really enjoyed the location. A car is needed to get there but it is surrounded by lovely fields with horses and pigs grazing. Our toddler enjoyed meeting the farms pets. HIghly recommend and we would love to return soon.

There were one or two dust bunnies and cobwebs in some of the corners. To be fair I wouldn't notice apart from searching for toddlers missing toys.

"Wonderful stay at Coach House Barn."

9.0

The Coach Barn was beautifully converted with excellent facilities, comfortable beds and furniture, wonderful scenery of fields and horses and a funny little pig! It was peaceful and had a delightful garden filled with fragrant herbs. Our host Piers was very pleasant and accomodating. A welcome gift if chocolates and milk - thank you! Plenty of space great for two or a family of five. The walk down two very quiet lanes into Orford was great just taking 50mins. Lovely quay there and quaint old village with castle.(This is being renovated at the moment and is clad in scaffolding but you can still your the inside which was brilliant!)

We only had one small niggle. The Rayburn supplied plenty of hot water which was great, however being on a lot of the time it did make the barn during this last few summery weeks rather hot. Fab for the winter though! Lots of windows and a double door to open to expell the warmth, though unfortunately that brought in annoying little flies - which you'd expect on a farm but we're rather irritating. A suggested solution would be a couple of windows with insect screens fitted and a magnetic insect screen for the garden door.
