Romantic Croft with Private Hot Tub

being asked for an additional £30 to preheat the tub was a bit off. it’s very small so you don’t have an inside table and very little storage for food stuffs and none for clothes. we had good weather so spent it outside had it rained it would have been no fun. The bed has seen better days and seeks alarmingly when you turn over. have stayed in better at a better price

This place is absolutely beautiful. It’s so peaceful. The Swedish hot tub was amazing as was the private BBQ hobbit hut. A minute up the road to fields of sheep’s, lambs and cows with breathtaking views. The hosts were sooo friendly and helpful, anything we asked for was delivered and fast. We had the best stay.

There wasn’t anything we didn't like it was perfect

The hosts were really lovely and friendly with a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble and we felt like we could ask for whatever we needed. The accommodation, hot tub, grounds were spotlessly clean and parking was convenient right outside. Looked just like the pictures online.

With regret, hopefully this is constructive criticism. The place is very isolated surrounded by only farmland. No amenities in walking distance. Sofa was quite small and uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. No oven, only a microwave and two ring hob so unless you want to barbecue, then cooking is tricky. Towel situation was not good, very thin, and soaked from using the hot tub once. More/better towels are necessary without having to request them. The bathroom smelled damp and was so dark you couldn't see yourself in the mirror. No mirror anywhere else! Lack of hooks and places to put things was also really inconvenient. TV reception was very poor if you want to use terrestrial TV. Copper bath is unnecessary - use space for storeage or dressing table instead. No welcome pack in arrival eg some milk, biscuits a cake - we would say this is a standard welcome in most places but a missed opportunity here. Not luxury accommodation, unfortunately, in our view.

This was amazing the hot tub and bbq hut was brilliant location was perfect so peaceful and the hut was just magical everything we needed Michelle was amazing nothing was to much trouble and Neil was amazing and helped us with the hot tub. We took our friend for her 50th birthday as a surprIse and she adored it. I asked Michelle if she could sort some balloons etc and they were there. It was just perfect. Thank you Michelle and Neil. Michelle and Neil are great hosts who went above and beyond to help plan a few surprises for my OH 60th birthday. The hot tub was heated and ready, accommodation was cosy and clean with lovely added extras including robes. Gorgeous copper bath & bbq hut. All messages were replied to promptly and both happy to help. Loved our stay there.

Details stated a sofa bed in lounge which we planned to use as OH had knee injury but wasn’t there on arrival. We managed using a buffer and a bit of moaning from Mr Grumpy when I knocked his knee by accident….. honest 😇

Michelle was very polite and helpful. It was such a peaceful location. The hot tub under the stars was definitely the highlight of our stay!

We picked the coldest 2 days of the year and it snowed heavily - lots of roads closed and travel warnings, so a bit apprehensive, but need not have worried - the lodge was toasty warm. When the car was snowed in at the lodge on the first day, the owner took his 4x4 down the hill and bought in extra shopping for us. Location was beautiful, remote but close enough to walk to the local pub (via footpath - the Severn Way). The Lodge is well equipped for all you need for self catering, with 2 ring hob, microwave/grill, fridge, toaster and everything good quality. Electric wall mounted heaters are available to keep rooms warm or you can go all out and light the log burner, and get the fire going for the hot-tub! Plenty of top quality fire wood so looking after the woodburners was easy. The hot tub was amazing at night, with snow coming down!
