Blacksmith holiday home near Portree in central Skye

Great location to explore Skye but you need a car to get there. Clean, spacious, everyone had their own bathroom which was very convenient.

It was a bit hard to find the location - google maps took us to the wrong house (but this was mentioned by the owner so ot's ok) it's just hard to see that the location is this as the name isn't visible easily from the street.

Compte tenu du prix, nous demander de défaire les lits avant de partir sous peine de charges additionnelles ….. C’est un peu exagéré. Et comble de l’ironie au UK, le grille-pain ne marchait pas. Shocking!!! 😉

The house is quite big and convenient for a large group, with all equipped. The location is good as long as you have a car, 30 min to Old man and less than 1 hour to Neist Point; Portree is just 10 min driving. Communication was smooth and prompt, you got precise and sufficient message right after reservation and before checkin.

Nice size home. Clean.

Kitchen was not well appointed. Bedding was too warm.

Very easy access! The location is absolutely beautiful! We had everything we needed and Emily was a gracious host and quick to answer if we had any questions or concerns! Would definitely come back and stay here again

The doors are a little finicky to lock/unlock but once you figure it out it’s fine.

Home had not been cleaned when we arrived. Dirty towels and sheets. Contacted owner who got cleaning crew there, but she said she’d reimburse us or do something to make it right since we had such a huge inconvenience. I got no reimbursement or follow up after our stay. The home was nice enough, but arriving to a dirty house with sheets and towels dirty from previous guests was disgusting. I thought it could be made right as promised by the owner, but then she didn’t even follow up or give us any credit as she had said she would.
