Host & Stay - Sunny Dale Cottage

Sunny Dale Cottage is a beautiful little home from home. Absolutely spotless and well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Beds are very comfy with crisp clean bedding. It has a bistro set out back and a couple of loungers which is fab as this is a little suntrap! We enjoyed sitting out taking in the last bit of sun after our day exploring. It’s located in a quiet spot off tucked away, your own little sanctuary 🥰 There is a bakery close by with its own cafe which has a fantastic menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner also a great choice of cakes and sweet treats. Next door up from the bakery is the beer garden for The Buck, local pub, again the beer garden is lovely to sit and enjoy the sunshine whilst having a refreshment, they also serve pub meals however I personally felt they were overpriced for what you got. All in all I would recommend Sunny Dale Cottage and I will most certainly be back there myself, absolutely loved it! 🥰

The only thing I would have liked was a full length mirror in the property however this is just a personal thing and by no means did this affect my stay 🥰

Lovely clean cottage, in a perfect location with everything you need on the doorstep.

Just a shame the garden wasn't full enclosed with a fence to make it secure as we had a toddler who wanted to escape! Also there is a bit of a drop off the edge of the garden which wasn't really clear on the pictures on the website. This could be a little dangerous with a small child and we felt we couldn't relax. We will definitely revisit in a few years when our little girl is a little older! Maybe a few more tea towels as we were only provided one.

The cottage is new, with a lovely courtyard garden that allowed you to have breakfast in the morning sun and even your evening meal bathed in sunlight. The village is beautiful and the perfect location for 'Bangers and Cash' fans. Was a great base to explore just some of the things Yorkshire has to offer, such as Castle Howard, Whitby, steam railways, hiking, etc etc.

Lovely cottage in a very picturesque village. Cottage is just behind main street in a lovely lane. Cottage is very well equipped, very clean and very comfortable. Well maintained - both inside and out. Check in (and out) was easy. A great place to stay.

The only thing (I'm being very picky here) were the cushions on the couch. They were needing a wash and new inserts.
