The tricky parking I would advise anyone staying to off load their stuff and park opposite. We appreciated the bubbly left in the fridge for us. However for the money we expected some sort of welcome basket. Bread, milk, butter,biscuits and marmalade are standard in Most cottages we have stayed in

Amazing location, cozy and comfy inside. Pooley Bridge is a short walk away (torch needed at night as no pavement to walk on and minimal road lighting). 1863 restaurant in Pooley Bridge is worth a visit.

Far too many spiders and webs. I know it’s that time of year, but would expect de webbing to take place.

Fantastic views and nicely furnished

Proximity of the road and traffic noise is a shock. Unfortunately I found a review commenting about this after I booked and saw the reply from the owners saying they didn’t hide the road in the photos. Although this may be true it’s not mentioned and every advertising photo is taken shooting away from the road. It’s the main route out and in to the north lakes so very very busy in season. It does die down so if your out during the day it’s not so bad. Access to the drive has been mentioned by a lot and although a warning notice is on the road it’s not sufficient. It’s a beautiful boat house but ruined by the proximity of the road. The entrance to the property is only a few feet from the road

Amazing property in an amazing location - just beautiful

Only issue we had which is why we marked down - the tv didn’t work and the remote wouldn’t allow us to correct it. I know we should have been looking at the views but, my wife loves a bit of Monday Night football :-)

Location on Lake Ullswater is stunning. Sitting enjoying a beverage or two on the balcony felt fantastic!

Location on the bend of the road is scary, either leaving the property by car or on foot Noise of the generator

everything. though small issue, the lack of a tray for carrying through to the lovely balcony.

we had to fill the bath from the shower-head attachment as the mechanism to switch between main tap and shower head was stuck at shower.
