Great central location.

There are a lot of steps to get in and out.

Positives : Very central Mattress extremely comfortable Alexa available Smart TV Good cleanliness Blinds and curtains - black out No changes for dogs Basic toiletries available

Negatives : Uninviting exterior and unlocked entrance Worn steps need rubber treds for safety Scruffy courtyard with dead plants Not lit enough - felt creepy Didn't go out after dark because didn't feel safe *Lock is illegal - must be a thumb lock!* Only one key - what happens if two people staying and one goes out? Told after booking that dogs not allowed upstairs No milk for a cup of tea on arrival No larger bowls for pasta or rice dishes Felt quite soulless, bare minimum of everything No welcoming message, check in to see if all OK, no thank you good bye message.

Lovely homely cottage, great location and great to have a enclosed area to let the dog out. Wifi excellent and everything that you could need.

Had to chase up a parking permit when we arrived for the full stay. Bedroom light wasn't bright enough to do ypur makeup in the mirror,, needs to be a white bulb rather than yellow. Very warm upstairs as the boiler/pipes are constantly hot, good that there was a fan but in the height of summer the bedroom would be too warm to sleep.

Everything. Cosy, comfortable, private and quiet.

Just a couple of suggestions - a bath mat would be good - I was on my own so there was a spare hand towel I could use. The cottage was warm but the temperature dropped overnight on the last two days. The quilt was a summer one which was more than adequate at first but not quite enough at the end of my stay, though not cold enough for a winter weight quilt. Maybe a blanket in the wardrobe for extra foot warmth?

Location was smashing, little and cosy.

We should have been told that dogs are not allowed upstair before we booked.

The cottage was in the centre. Which was perfect.

This was a great little place to stay, right at the heart of Whitby and within easy reach of all the main sights and amenities.

Just to mention for those who might struggle - the stairs at the property are very steep and quite narrow. Also, the property itself is a short way up a steep hill from the main front, so be ready to do some cardio :)
