The Malt House, Portree

The location was good.

There is a strong smell of mold in the inner bedroom, which made us unable to use it. This made our stay not at all what we had hoped for and very uncomfortable. There was no dehumidifier and no functioning vacuum cleaner.

Great location close enough to the main part of town to be very convenient and far enough away to be very quiet. Living room and dining area were good-sized. Had a clothes washer and dryer. Also close to a couple of great walks on a path along the shore and a path to a little double waterfalls. Really good communication from the hosts.

The bathroom had a bit of a smell and the faucet was hard to get turned off all the way; although we heard they are planning a bathroom remodel in the fall of 2025. We had a few wasps come in when we had the windows open. The king beds are UK kings which are about the same size as US queen size.

Great location, right in Portree. Was good to have accommodation that allowed us to spread out and not be confined to one room.

Very convenient to downtown to restaurants and shopping. Close to a grocery store as well.

Location excellent. Kitchen facililties good. Effort to make homely.

Decorating needs doing everywhere and new carpets. Bathroom needs replacing - taps poor, only shower by getting into bath (trip hazard), mould on ceiling.

Great location in Portree. Very nice comfortable house. We were really glad to be able to cook our own meals.

There were a few little things which would have been useful - oven gloves, hand wash in the kitchen (we bought some and left it behind) and a mirror in the bedroom.

The location is very good. Just a nice walk to the center of the city & view of the harbor. Price is very decent compared to other accommodation in Portree. House & room is comfortable. Has a decent parking space for my rent car.

Bathroom uses hot & cold tap water which is pretty hard for me to use. The hot one is too hot while the cold one is too cold. Enabling both tap water also doesn't help. Shower is a bit hard to operate.
