Victoria Cottage, Victoria Road, Kirkwall

The cottage was lovely and very well furnished. The location is excellent enabling the Main Street of Kirkwall readily accessible. The host (John) was very attentive in ensuring our comfort and checking the heating. Thoroughly recommend this property as a must to other island visitors.

The location was perfect and very central, the property was exactly what we needed and we had plenty of space. Parking at the top of the road was also not an issue

It was central & very clean. Owners were great & kept us informed throughout the booking process.Rooms were well equipped & clean . Bedding was spotless & very comfy beds .

The bathroom could do with a wee freshen up but was clean .

We had stayed here the previous year and the property was as good as our last stay. It is close to the centre of Kirkwall but not noisy. When we return to Orkney we would look to stay here again.

We have no complaints about the property.

Nicely furnished throughout. Lots of handy literature on islands provided. Comfy beds, very clean rooms. Well equipped kitchen Thoughtful welcome gifts Excellent, quick response from the hosts

It was quite cold and we couldn't work out if/how heating worked - perhaps a guide would be useful? The neighbour could be heard at times but we put that down to it being a traditional cottage and its architecture is part of the cottage's charm.

The location is ideal, set just a short walk from the centre of Kirkwall with its wee shops, museum, cathedral, eateries & more.

There’s really nothing I didn’t like about the property. It has no parking directly outside but plenty in surrounding area. The narrow road layout doesn’t allow for parked cars but that’s no slight on the property.
