Chapel Beck, Millthrop

Lots of space and nicely decorated.

Great, quiet location in a lovely little group of cottages on the very edge of the town. The property was extremely clean and fresh on arrival and well stock with tea, coffee, sugar, and milk. There was also a small complimentary bottle of wine and a bottle of beer along with some biscuits. There was a stock of wood and firelighters with a pair of hefty gloves for when lighting the log fire. The owner has clearly given a great amount of thought to preparing the property for rental. The property also boasts, a washing machine dishwasher, iron and vacuum cleaner, very impressive. I am sure I have missed a load of things, but that is because there is so much to what is there. Almost forgot, plenty of communication leading up to our stay.

Nothing really

Great location with a Beck running alongside the property. Underfloor heating kept us cosy. Spacious accomodation. Walking up on the fell, so atmospheric with curlews calling.

Could have done with a side table for the sofa to rest a cup on.

We liked everything but on a personal note I prefer a much softer bed ... The only other thing I would change is to place a bollard or barrier at the parking space next to the Beck... purely for extra safety if the car handbrake was faulty 👍

We loved everything about this place absolutely lovely comfortable clean and sue was very helpful The views the village were just beautiful and the walks up the fells amazing

There is nothing we didn't like

The cottage is lovely and clean! Theres Plenty of space and a lovely bathroom / kitchen facilities. The area is perfect for being able to nip out the door and venture off into the valleys/hills. Perfect for with or without a dog. Only a short trip away from kendal and only slightly further if you want to visit Bowness and Lake windermere. We thoroughly enjoyed joyed our stay and will deffo be looking to revisit :) Our 5 year old and puppy absolutely loved it too, my daughter still hasn't stopped talking about it. The owners are fantastic and are only s text or call away if you need information or help with anything. The facility has a small.washing machine if you need tk wash kids or wet and muddy clothing. As well as large towel drying radiator you can use for these clothes if you nes then dry quickly. (Perfect if you have potty training kids or go in a wetter period of the year and clothes get mucky!) There's a parking spot next to the property, but also we found near the end of the week, there another space slightly further round the corner (aftet the footpath) which is signposted with 'Chapelbeck' which would.be more suitable to a larger family car.

Clean and well-equipped. Bathroom appeared to be new Idyllic location. Walking distance (15mins) to Sedburgh College, town and pubs.

Car parking spaces tight if you have a large car (eg 7-seater SUV).
