It was a lovely weekend away what i needed just to relax and do nothing enjoy family time....for me it was the log fire as i didnt want to go outside so spend the days ejoying the fire...plenty logs left for us to use. An amazing bathroom the kids loved the big bath.. Everything was straight foward for me to work out...heating cooker etc Clean and very cosy It is a nice place when you just want to be alone or with family away from busy life

The property was clean and comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The views were wonderful and having a field outside the door to exercise our dogs was a real bonus. Sue was very friendly and helpful, leaving little treats for us when we arrived. Excellent stay!

"Perfect for a winter weekend."

It's December. The underfloor heating was on and the property was lovely and warm and welcoming. There was everything there we could have wished for - we should have stayed for longer and may well be back. We were delighted!

The bunk beds surprised us since the room was large enough for two single beds.

"A super base for a short break in the fells"

A warm and comfortable cottage in a peaceful hamlet just 15 minutes walk from Sedbergh. Well equipped and the welcome treats were lovely. Perfect location for walking in the Howgills and surrounding fells. The constant sound of the beck and the dark skies were wonderful. Great communication from the host re the planned power outage.

It is a dog friendly cottage so it comes with a gentle background aroma of hound 😆

This property has a very charming location and is only minutes away from Sedbergh.

The second room has a bunk bed with a very narrow mattress. Though the room has the space, there is no chair and no luggage rack for a suitcase. The lamp is at the foot of the bed through the bed frame and there is no place to set a glass of water etc by the bed. The bathroom is very fancy but not even a toilet paper holder. Unlabeled switches out in the hall control hot water to the sink and power to the towel warmer.
