Lovely comfortable cottage in Tideswell. Tideswell has good walking from the door and isn’t far from Kinder Scout for a more challenging walk. We visited Chatsworth and Bakewell. The village has good amenities including a Co-op, Fish and Chips, Cafe and Pubs.

Parking is on the street No garden But we knew this before we booked so no complaints

Well appointed, generally clean, good location for exploring the area. Only a couple of minutes walk into the village. Some good footpaths on the doorstep. Parking usually ok, could park outside most days. Had to park a little further down the road on a couple of occasions but not a problem.

Although we didn't use the oven it does need a good clean. Top of bathroom cabinet also needs a good clean. Front door lock is a bit problematical at times and was tricky to lock/unlock.

position, equipment, good supply of hand wash toilet rolls, teatowels etc.. bathroom and toilet well equipped and spotless decoration appeared to be in excellent order close to centre and facilities for dog walking easily accessed

kitchen smelled of urine and sticky to walk on-washed it as soon as we arrived, state of oven, dust on toaster, crumbs behind bread board, crumbs and dust on settee between cushions.

Nothing to dislike

Lovely cottage, very well equipped there was nothing we didn't need.

A couple of issues with cleanliness and a few things didn't work but reported to the owner and was being dealt with.

The location was perfect, so many nice walks from the doorstep and 3 pubs close by for food, not to mention the local chip shop.

Not the owners fault but the adjacent property was being refurbished and the builder ask friends to park outside from the Monday we were there as a skip was being delivered on the Thursday, which was a bit frustrating, as we were only there a week.
