"Fabulous stay in a great location. Loved the £50 voucher to spend on wine and cheese 😋😋😋"

9.0

Lovely Victorian house with amazing views and a short stroll into Looe. Very well equipped kitchen and bags of space.

Not a problem for us because we are fit, but it is impossible to park within 5 mins of the house and it’s a steep walk up to the house from the paid parking or a 10 mins walk down the hill (busy road with no pavement).

"On the whole we found the stay relaxing and enjoyable."

7.0

The view is stunning but the location is a problem for the aged and infirm which should be made clear to potential guests. The lack of parking means a hill walk is inevitable. Only one of our party found this to be a problem but for her it was enough to put her off the property and to spoil her stay.

Compared to other places we have stayed the "welcome pack" could be slightly more welcoming , ie the basics like milk and bread. The missing shelf in the kitchen fridge is inconvenient, meaning bottles had to be kept in the boot room fridge.

"This Harbour Idyll is practically perfect in almost every way, with views you’ll dream about for a long while afterwards"

9.0

This is a glorious property. It’s incredibly welcoming, with an immediate feeling of home and comfort. It’s modern, well cared for and has an abundance of well thought out touches which make your stay go smoothly, hard to split them as there are so many, but include blankets, games, fully stocked kitchen, coffee pods, air fryer, baskets for clothes etc. The jewel in the crown here though is those views from the front of the property. Honestly it’s picture postcard perfect. We had horrid horrid weather, and the views were still phenomenal, so I can’t imagine how amazing they would be in the sunshine! The beds are very comfy, the showers strong and warm, the rooms spacious and airy, the outside space more compact but well laid out and close to town.

There is nothing we didn’t like, but the slight hindrance was the lack of parking, the car parks were close but expensive or a free and a bit further, with a young family the back and forth with the car (in the rain) became a bit of a chore, particularly on packing/unpacking day! It didn’t take away from the stay, but something to prepare for if you have a young family or any mobility issues (there are also three flights of stairs, stairs up to the property and a ramp to the entrance to consider in this case).
