Bakestones - Central Location with Free Integral Private Parking

Bakestones central is cosy and has everything you need. It was nice to have a shower that worked well and a tv that had no signal issues. The communication from hosts was excellent. Parking is ideal. Location is perfect for buses or walks to nearby places such as grasmere, rydal water and caves, Windermere, Wray castle etc and we loved getting the boat back from Windermere to Ambleside, lovely week and would definitely stay there again

The noise of the staff from the Tapas Bar next door, there was lots of clattering about and loud talking until late at night. Also the fact that the staff regularly stood in the alleyway smoking

Location was amazing to be so central, the living area was really cosy and comfortable. The whole property was very clean and had all we needed for our stay. Having the car in a secure garage was nice.

If the car park opppsite the garage is full, it was incredibly challenging to get in/out the garage. The mattress and pillows in the double bed we unfortunatly didn't find comforable.

Central location, integral garage well equipped kitchen, ideal base for many walks.

The location couldn’t have been better. We found this worked out much cheaper than a hotel in that area and gave us all our own room as well as a lovely livingroom to sit and chat. We had a great time and The Priests Hole restaurant just yards away was so good we went back.

Obviously it’s two single rooms and a double so ideal for families. For three friends sharing, the downside is that some rooms are better than others but we knew that when we booked!

Lovely and comfortable living room with a Smart TV and a nice selection of games, books and DVDs. Great location, very central and short walk to all amenities. Kitchen was well-equipped, with all the useful appliances, including an additional fridge freezer in the garage. Plus washing machine and dryer. The double room was a nice space and overall the flat had a nice ambience. The garage was very useful and spacious, although the entrance is tight from the alley.

The single rooms were small and we didn't like the mattresses. They were springy and soft, and found them quite uncomfortable. The back single is adjacent to a metal staircase, a pub and in the direction of the opposite Tapas bar, all of which were noisy at late hours.

Very cosy, really well equipped, very clean and in a fantastic location. Have the parking was also a massive bonus. It was a great base for some lovely walks without needing to use the car

The steps to the living room are a little steep for if you were not steady on your feet but not an issue for us

The location of this accommodation along with the parking made this an excellent stay. We were able to walk to the restaurants and shops with ease.

We loved staying here. It was hard to leave! This house is located right in the heart of Ambleside. It has a garage that fits a medium sized vehicle. Washer/dryer in the garage. Two blocks away there is a Tesco for groceries. The wifi was good and dependable. It's not your standard cookie cutter house. It has character and feels very warm and inviting. The living areas are upstairs, with the garage and entry below. We arrived at the same time the seasons first named storm Amy arrived! After 6 hours traveling down from Scotland through wind, rain and trees blowing down... it was so nice to arrive here. We felt very secure and comfortable as the storm continued over the next couple days. It was nice to be able to walk to everything we needed within 5 minutes through the rain. We would highly recommend staying here! We will definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back into the area.
