Dell View Cottage

Lovely house with all facilities for a quick stay. Good shower and fully equipped kitchen

No real garden or nearby place to really let the dogs outside, toilet only upstairs and very small. And you hear everything from the people next to you and all doors are really hard to open or close .

Beautifully clean and comfortable. Well equipped.

Parking was a little tight and as we somehow had good weather it was unfortunate there is no where to sit outside. But it's ok... We went to the pub!

Cosy cottage. Kitchen well equipped. Clean.

Very small inside space. Quite a long way from anything - not really within quick walking distance. No garden area which is difficult when you have dogs. Very small parking area outside the house. Most of these things are mentioned in the property description.

The cottage was beautiful, and it was a great location although tricky to find 1st time. Lovely views from front windows and bedroom window and very cosy.

Parking is non existent really, we had a small hire car and it only just fitted in front of the cottage and when we parked on the road opposite we ended up arguing with one of the neighbours which was a shame. I don't know what else the host could do about the parking other than be really clear about it, but it didn't detract from the stay.

We loved this beautiful little cottage, it was very homely and comfortable! The views were breathtaking too! Local taxi company Village Taxis were extremely reliable, and our driver went out of his way to help us get around when we were struggling with buses in the village.

Our previous apartment had provided laundry detergent alongside the washing machine, so we didn't bring any with us here, which meant that we couldn't wash our clothes as there was none provided. We didn't have a car with us either, and the nearest shops were a £7 taxi ride away. Luckily we managed to get a local taxi company (Village Taxis) to run us around, the driver was super helpful to us and went out of his way to help us get where we needed to be. We could have done with some larger towels too, as my husband struggled with the small ones provided and there were no spares.

Our bed was really comfortable but the other bed not so. the area was good and very quiet. Good WIFI.

No garden back or front of property. No brush or small handbrush and shovel for general clean up. No safety rail or bath slip mat. Loo brush was broken. The floors downstairs needed a good clean.

Lovely cottage, very clean, nice and bright inside, good location for visiting Alton Towers, easy to check in and out.

No bowls for cereal/soup/pasta, thankfully we had plastic bowls for the kids with us that we used but we had to wait for them to finish eating which delayed is getting out. No teatowels (lovely bedroom towels but nothing in the kitchen).

The cottage was so clean and comfortable. Decor and facilities had been very carefully considered and the location was wonderful - so peaceful but very close (walkable) to the lovely town of Ashbourne.
