Teejay's Lodge with Hot Tub

Location and restaurant on site. Very clean comfortable everything you need for a weekend away

Clean, tidy, had everything we needed and more.

The property was great. The address info needed to list the site name not just the street and post code as we ended up at the wrong place.

On day one upon check in I reported in person that the TV in the living room does not have remote control, advisor directed me to the maintenance member who was having a beer while being on duty, he assured me that he will bring the remote after I informed him it’s a JVC TV, he later brought in about 10 remotes none of the JVC and told me try one of those if it does not work they would get a new one on day 2, it did not work so I contacted the reception again who advised me that it has been reported to the maintenance member, after we came back to the room WiFi was not working so I tried to reach the out of hours manager but no answer, reception was closed spoke to the restaurant team who said they can’t do nothing as they are a separate company , no one brought the controllers and WiFi was down all day, day 3 I went to the reception again for the same issues who said yes we will get it fixed now but again our stay came to an end and had no update no feedback all in all very poor service , we had young kids with us and we wanted to ourselves relax and watch TV and utilise the service along with WiFi but what a failure . I have worked in hospitality for years myself and I don’t like complaining but this was beyond acceptable. If there was an emergency I think we would have struggled to reach the team as they just do not care and utterly bad at their customer service jobs. Shameful this spoiled our overall experience of the site. Would not return or advise anyone to go.

When we stayed at the property the electric went off for 7 +hours from 11-9:30 it did come back on for 2 hours and then back off in that time. However, due to the fact we paid 400 for a lodge that had no signal or electric we thought the property would’ve give us a little compensation even 20% off our next stay just a good will gesture. That was not the case they said it was nothing to do with them and got no apology at the front desk. Even though they do not control the electric we get that they as a property do have the responsibility of making sure we get what we pay for, in this case 400 pound wasted and 4 hours journey for nothing. It’s a shame as this was our 2nd stay and will not be back. As well as a 200 pound security deposit is crazy.

We didn't get to stay in Teejays lodge to be able to review it as we were upgraded. Although it didn't seem to be an upgrade.. The beds were all uncomfortable, really hard like sleeping on a board. The lodge says it sleeps 6 but only had 4 dining chairs, and the table was set up for 4, not enough mugs or glasses either. The frying pan provided was awful. We couldn't use it, so we went out and bought one. There was no cover for the sofa bed quilt. The one that was provided was too small, so it couldn't be used. There were dog hairs on the floor.

Great Lodge, Stunning and kept good care of 5* Lodge with 2 showers, en suite, good hot tub, very hot! Staff friendly Scarborough only an hour away Would love to stay again

Would benefit from some spa facilities on site but not the owners fault, great stay thanks £200 damage Deposit pretty steep given the cost anyway but got it back no issues Main bed wasn't the comfiest but not horrendous
