Beautiful location, very cosy and nicely decorated and fitted out

Beds were a bit uncomfortable, double bedroom is two single mattresses put together and could feel the springs in it

"A gem of a place to stay"

We booked Lilac Cottage over the Christmas period. The cottage was excellent in every way. Lee, the host was fantastic. Helpful in every way. Going out of his way to make sure we had enough seating for Christmas day dinner for all our visitors. The cottage itself was in a perfect location, clean, had everything you could want in a home and just fabulous in every way.

There was nothing at all to dislike about the cottage or our stay in it.

The bath was amazing. Clean, quite, host provided loads of info and was very communicative

Nothing, it was absolutely perfect, I would 1000000 % stay again if I needed somewhere in that location

The cottage is lovely. It was very clean and has all amenities you need. The bed was really comfy and the rain forest shower was lovely. The bathroom is downstairs which I hadn't realised but as there was only 2 of us it wasn't an issue. We stayed there as we had a wedding at 2 o clock and the hosts accommodated us by letting us check in early so we could shower and change and get to the venue on time. Met the host , very friendly. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. 10/10.

"Relaxing enjoyable stay at Lilac Cottage"

The cottage was lovely and clean and fab facilities. Great touches with the dog accessories. Kitchen kitted out with all the accessories you need for self catering. Bed linen and big bath towels all fresh and clean. Great facilities for BBQ and seating outside. We did use BBQ but really nice to have that option. Garden well maintained. Parking for 2 cars plenty of room. Shower great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Walk straight out back garden and into forest with lovely walks if taking your dog. Our dog loved the forest walk for hours.

On main road so front bedroom can get a bit noisy with traffic. But we stayed in back bedroom so didn’t find it an issue but my son and his wife was in front. But as long as you’re aware just bring some ear plugs maybe.
