Fantastic location, with brilliant views of South Bay, Scarborough!

The most fabulous location looking out over the whole of South Bay. Private parking for two large cars, electric charging. Fabulous kitchen facilities, large dining table. Very clean. Hot water. Spa facilities absolutely fabulous. Comfy beds. 4 ensuites, including 2 baths. A 3 generation family holiday this chalet worked wonderfully for us. Within easy walking distance of beach and town. Other parking nearby, needs a bit of researching re costs and hours or move a short walk away along the Esplanade for free parking area. Visit the nearby Yorkshire Council Offices in St Nicholas Street to pick up free parking discs. Allows 2-3 hours free parking in disc zones in Scarborough and Whitby. We are going to find it very hard to find anywhere else with the wow factor and cleanliness of the Spa Chalet and would recommend it highly. We didn't want to leave!

Only downside to property is that there is no step free access into the chalet so we had to carry the babies pram up and down the steep entrance steps. Not a problem for us but might be an issue for other families, and steps could be tricky for anyone with significant mobility issues. No 'just round the corner' 'open all hours' food store so had to plan trips to Tescos or Sainsburys.

Amazing location & sea views

Fantastic quirky historical building with fantastic views. In a quiet location but near the sea and town centre

The bathrooms could do with a bit of maintenance ie the hose in one was leaking , in another the water pressure was so stronge that the shower head keep shooting round We felt the hot water was dangerously hot and another of the showers leaked We were disappointed there was no binoculars or telescope as in the pictures/video as the sea and what was on it had so much to offer. I certainly would have taken some binoculars!!! Tin foil has always been provided in the properties we have been to before or at least for one usage of the grill pan.

Absolutely fabulous property, spacious, relaxed and such a calm place. Superbly equipped and beautiful views across the bay. Utterly faultless and excellent staff. Has to be the ultimate place to stay in the area.

Exceptional location-outstanding views. Furnished to a very good standard and accommodates 10 people comfortably. Kitchen well equipped.

Struggle to think of anything

Wow! Booked the Spa Chalet for my parents 70th birthday as a surprise, we were all blown away by how beautiful the interior was and the location. Staying at The Spa Chalet was nostalgic for us as we holidayed in South Bay every year when I was little. We loved walking straight from the house to the Italian Gardens, down onto the beach and along the promenade. The interiors were beautiful and it was a real treat to stay in such an iconic and historic house. We loved waking up to the view and watching the lights over the bay in the evening. We even spotted dolphins one morning from the balcony! Thank you for an amazing stay.

The parking was tight but we appreciated being able to park privately right next to the house.

The views are amazing over the bay and the town. Sunrise is so pretty and also the town lights at night make a lovely sight. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and furniture is beautiful. Very clean and comfortable . We really enjoyed playing cards each evening in the lovely dining area. The house has a lot of history and there are pictures of it in various stages around the chalet. Plenty of room for a family to spread out . The house have everything you might need , it really is well equipped ! The owners are very communicative and friendly.
