Great location, clean upon arrival, comfortable beds

Walking distance from the city centre, clean and tidy, comfortable beds and easy parking.

The location was great. Only a 20 minute walk into the city centre.

On arrival the property had a smell of stale food, curry and damp. Cleanliness was poor, garden was in a poor state, the garden furniture was dirty, rusty and broken, in the property the single bed was not safe to sleep on as the bed frame was very wobbly and coming apart. The double bed was horrendous, not only was the mattress to big for the bed it dipped in the middle and was rock solid and the single mattress has seen better days, springs could be felt when laying on it. Cobwebs, dirty cutlery, disgusting trays for cooking, pubes on the bath, dirty skirting boards, faulty electrics - the main light in the living room and the extension lead in the double bedroom. We had to wash kitchen utensils and clean the house on arrival. The towels were rough hard and crusty. The cupboard under the stairs was awful and disgusting and the dishwasher is coming out of its slot in the kitchen. As for ample parking the property actually only accommodates for one car which needs to be emailed to the host to make a digital permit. Therefore parking in a nearby carpark (roughly 5-8 mins walk) cost £30 for the weekend, which if you knew was going to happen you’d put some money aside for payment.

Not a criticism, just an observation Loo seat was very loose when we went in,so that needs adressing Also the middle bedroom mattress wasn't great tbf,probably ready for a new one. Apart from that everything was clean and tidy,and had everything you need,so thanks.

Clean, with all basic requirements. TV, WiFi, parking were great. We were visiting family locally so only really used the house for sleeping and showering.

It smelled damp when we arrived. Resolved after leaving windows open on arrival and didn’t notice it again. Toilet seat is loose. Shower isn’t great, but is useable. Net curtains or privacy film in the front room would be helpful as it feels very exposed to sit with the blinds open. Bed in master bedroom is actually two singles, only one of which was comfortable. Second double has a massive dip. Single bed was also not comfortable but not as bad.

No TV- Internet due to Virgin Media. Shower not hot- knob turned to full hot , got the heating to work first.day but no heating thereafter -- host send instructions the next day but did not see any information on attachment through booking.com regarding the heating so I just put a blanket on my lap that was on the sofa

Great interaction with the organiser who made sure we had everything ahead of the visit. It was well heated and tidy.

It needs a deep clean. A lot of cobwebs, unhoovered carpet in places, and the bed sheets felt slept in, particularly in one room, had a thick tough stain so had to go to the shop and buy our own. The place doesn’t ventilate well either.
