Cosy Little Hyde Cottage, Swanage

An absolutely gorgeous cottage, prime location.. about 15 minutes walk into Swanage. The cottage was so well stocked, great facilities and comfortable beds. Would definitely come back again.

Only thing would be to get a corkscrew - we drink a lot of wine!

After a 7 hour journey it was lovely to have milk in fridge, tea, coffee and biscuits Kitchen is well equipped and there is a shop 5 mins walk away Communication prior to the stay was great wirh information where to park. We found parking up the road and moved our car closer. The cottage has lovely decor. Beds comfortable

We stopped for 3 nights and found the space very cosy in the 2 bedrooms with not much storage space for clothes toiletries etc. There were 4 adults with one hand towel and 4 bath towels it wasn't enough so more towels would have been welcomed or pre warned so we could bring our own. The staircase is very narrow and steep and has a handrail bit difficult if you have mobility problems to negotiate up and down. The distance to the town and beach was down hill and further than we thought so proved a challenge for my mum and sister so if you have any mobility problems you'd need to rely driving or taxis.. Walk back up we had some lovely pubs to break the journey up. We were woken up by noise on the roof at about 8 am wirh no prior notice. There is a sky light in bedroom and there was a man peering through which was a shock when getting undressed with no apology. Very unsettling no blind on window. A knock on door or a message to prewarn us was not done which was disappointing.. I understand it was emergency repairs but the workman should have knocked to say they were there. If we had booked for longer the space wouldn't have been suitable for us due to the limited storage. Local pubs, shops and restaurants all friendly with good food

Could do with an extractor fan and lock in the bathroom.

The response from the agents etc The keys didn’t work but the agent acted to resolve the problem via a locksmith and compensated us for our discomfort
