We were obviously not expected, even though I had been sent more than 10 emails prior to arrival.There was a painter working when I arrived to collect the parking permit. There was a smell of paint in the house. There were black dog hairs on seats and in one bedroom. The external window black rubbish container had all sorts of plastic bags in it which spilled out and were pecked by seagulls. The rear gutters are blocked and a constant stream of water during Storm Bert noisily hit the rear courtyard plastic tiles. The top floor bathroom shower sprayed water all over the top of the shower enclosure hitting the wall and door. The middle floor bathroom sink plug will not release easily due to the plug base delaminating. The sink tap column is loose and we were worried that it would break and leak. One of the bedside lamps (nearest the window) is broken - I thought the bulb had failed, but it’s the lamp that is faulty. One of the double sockets (by the window) is broken, loose switch and no power. In the lounge, one of the downlights flickers, two remote controls had no batteries and one of the breakfast stools seat is insecure and rotates on the one screw holding it down. The window seat cushion was covered in black dog hair on both sides. The front door is not particularly secure, with one Yale lock and another keyless lock with a broken bracket. I don’t go looking for faults and don’t expect perfection, but these were obvious problems that should have been addressed by the owner or management company - I didn’t want to report it during the stay as we had unpacked and didn’t want to be disturbed by cleaners or maintenance. We would probably have to have vacated, to allow all the faults to be fixed - I’m also dog allergic and at least expected a good standard of cleanliness. The day before leaving I was sent yet another email at 0730, telling me in great detail how to leave the house and thought that was not very welcoming. I would like a refund.

The property offers an excellent location with a parking permit for our car- bonus! The property was clean and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

A washing stand would have been handy.

Lights flickered in kitchen but nothing bad

The location of the cottage couldn't have been in a better place. It is very easy to access the property. Everything we need is in walking distance. The property was very clean and comfortable.. Even Excellent walks for our dogs. The cafe next door was great value

We didn't have any issues with the property.
