Entire house near beaches, footpaths, dog friendly

The house was lovely in an excellent location, Off the main road with excellent transport links to Bideford and Barnstaple and The Tarka Trail. The house had nearly everything we needed. The 2 reception rooms were lovely as we could read in one room and the youngsters game in the TV lounge. The outside space is a sun trap and was well used in late afternoons. Fantastic kitchen with huge stove.

The house wasn’t thoroughly clean - there were so many hairs and gunge in the shower plug hole that it didn’t drain in the downstairs shower - we had to empty it mid first shower! There were sheets of someone’s holiday project and a photo on top of the wardrobe, dust on top of shower room cabinet and peeling paint in downstairs bedroom. The bed in the downstairs bedroom is not very comfy - the 2 mattress toppers don’t help - just make it more squishy, and we kept knocking ourselves on the metal surround bed frame. There were areas of the house that just needed a lick of paint to freshen it up. It is starting to look a bit tired. Loved there was a cafetière provided but no sieve to drain the coffee - we bought one and took it home with us! Also no colander for draining pasta or veg. The outside furniture is wobbly and was sat on gingerly every time we used it.

Peaceful country and pleasant walks

Very spacious property with comfy beds and excellent kitchen facilities. The location is Ideal for cyclists with easy access to theTarka Trail (approximately 1 mile) and local pubs etc. Large enclosed rear garden which is ideal for dogs. Comfy sofas and a selection of board games. Excellent communication from the host before arrival with details of property location, key access and wi-fi etc.
