The property is lovely and has been beautifully finished. It is very spacious and has really comfortable sofas for relaxing after walking on Dartmoor. It was so warm and cosy - we never anticipated a ground source heat pump could make a place feel so warm! The internet connection is excellent and meant that we were able to stream films etc from the Amazon fire stick that we had taken with us. The property is really well located for some great walks and we loved the fact that the lodge could accommodate us with our two dogs and had parking right outside. We also liked being so close to Tavistock but also feeling that we were really in the countryside with Dartmoor on the doorstep. It really is a very peaceful location with no noise other than the local wildlife. The owners seemed very nice and friendly and kindly left us a bottle of wine and a cake which was a lovely surprise. We would recommend this property.

The kitchen could be a little better equipped - the addition of a colander and some tongs would be helpful, along with a non-stick frying pan. We also found the oven took a long time to cook food so it would’ve been helpful to have some instructions on the most appropriate settings. Personally we would’ve preferred a king-size bed which the bedroom could easily accommodate as it is a very spacious room. The addition of a small fenced off area by the lodge patio doors would also be great for people with dogs.

The Lodge was wonderful and right on the edge of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. Spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and furnished with everything you would need. Fully equipped modern kitchen and bathroom, lovely shower, excellent WiFi and even had sky tv. (2 tvs - one in the lounge and one in the bedroom) Nice and warm underfloor heating for our winter stay too. Excellent communication with the owners who were beyond accommodating and helpful. There was even a chocolate cake left in the fridge for us - such a nice touch. Very highly recommended and we’ll definitely visit again

The location was super easy access to Dartmoor. The lodge was cosy and had the amenities we needed.

We didn’t expect to be in such close proximity to the main house. We were very aware of our comings and goings.

Greatocation, super clean and great attention to detail

It was the perfect place to stay, when exploring the Dartmoore. The whole place is beautiful and thoughtful decorated and equipped. We will come back !
