Treacle Cottage - Central Ambleside

It worked well for us having two sitting rooms - the grandchildren could keep their toys in one room and the log burner was in the other room. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, utensils etc and the showers were brilliant. All the bedrooms were very comfortable.

There wasn’t room in either sitting room for all nine of us to sit.

Great location and very cozy. Had everything you need for a fantastic break. Nice little touches which were much appreciated.

Beautiful garden, shame not being kept well, not secure enough for small dogs.

Lots of comfortable, quaint, well-appointed bedrooms. Lovely location. Friendly and welcoming hosts.

We booked the cottage for a family and friend holiday and it was perfect. The cottage was a good size for us all and still felt cosy and homely. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and enough hob/oven space to cook meals for us all. It was very clean. The views were amazing.

A great space for a group of up to 12 or so. Bedrooms were perfect. Location was ideal

Some basic essentials were lacking. 1 toilet roll per bathroom, no teabags coffee or milk available on arrival, some light fittings without bulbs, there were some DVDs and a player for some retro entertainment on rainy days but no way for this to connect to a TV so it was pointless being there. A bit lacking in games and reading material. The gas oven was problematic due to the control knobs not all working correctly, bordering on dangerous.
