Treacle Cottage - Central Ambleside

Lovely house, spacious and comfortable. We came in big family group and really enjoyed our stay here. Cozy place to stay. Near to all the attractions points. The house condition is very good beyond my expectations. Highly recommended especially for big group.

Everything is good.

The property was full of character and nicely furnished making you feel right at home. It was clean throughout with good facilities and instructions for use of equipment. It also had a lovely maintained outside space with garden furniture allowing for some nice quiet time outside if needed. The location was perfect, just a short distance to local amenities and to Lake Windermere. Would recommend staying there with no hesitation. Good parking as well for upto 3 average sized cars.

There was nothing to dislike.

The rooms were large and bathrooms spacious. Lovely outside garden with barbecue. The reception rooms were cosy and had a large dining room to fit our whole family in. Kitchen was well stocked for every need.

Location was ideal between the town and the lake. Bedrooms, en-suites and other bathrooms/toilets were exceptionally good. Good spacious dining room. Everything was clean and tidy. Garden was basically well equipped with tables and chairs. Parking included.

Some of the furniture in the lounges had seen better days. Nothing else to moan about!

Cooker was rather complicated to operate.

Location was great size of property was excellent big bedrooms, reasonably priced to! parking outside and 2 lounges really useful. Lovely log fire to. Large selection of board games and dvds to watch if needed. TVs in both lounges, dining room and one of the bedrooms. Huge dining room and kitchen Loved the fact that 3 bedrooms were ensuite so no waiting around for the bathroom in the morning! Lovely big main bathroom and Dog friendly to!

Cottage can get a little cold even with heating on full and fire on. One of the chairs in the lounge with the fire needs replacing as springs have gone in the cushion. Some of the showers a little hard to turn on and off. Still a great place for a large family/group to stay in and would stay again just a few maintenance areas to be improved on.
