Bluebell Lodge

Bluebell Lodge was in a great location, with good facilities at the main Hoburne site. It is well located with some great places to visit only a short drive away, such as Chichester. The Lodge itself was generally very comfortable, spacious and well equipped and, in the most part, clean and tidy.

The property was generally well maintained and clean. One of two sofas was broken and completely unusable, which seems to have been the case for over 6 months from other reviews. It would be great to replace it so all guests could sit down, safer to remove the broken one in the meantime. Although the property is generally well equipped, it would be useful to have a hairdryer and a few kitchen supplies, such as oil, foil, cling film etc. I was disappointed by communication with the host. I had missed an email at the the time of booking so hadn't completed the required form. The host followed up only the day before we were due to arrive but then had connection issues so communication was sporadic. It turns out that guest passes are required (£30+) and we had to persuade the main site to issue us passes the day we arrived as nothing was arranged.

The area was lovely a good base to go exploring

One of the sofas was broken a note was left to inform us that a new one was on order. Could of been tad cleaner..ie oven racks ,glass patio doors and TV had sticky had prints on them

The actual property itself was lovely- modern and a great location.

Arrived at check in to the property still being cleaned. Then they had lost our passes and had to go and get new ones. Trying to communicate with the host was impossible. She couldn’t speak on the phone and asked if we could ‘message’ instead- which is impractical when you’re trying to solve a problem in the moment. She then took considerable time coming back to us and lacked sympathy over how stressful we had found our arrival with two young children.

Felt like home from home and had everything we needed

If I had to pick something and this is just being fussy but WiFi kept cutting out in bedrooms but was fine everywhere else in home

Lovely two bed lodge in a great location on the Hoburne site. Quiet and secluded but very close to the main facilities. Beautiful walks right from your doorstep. Host was responsive and accommodating. Lodge could do with a little TLC but was clean and comfortable and nothing that impacted our stay. Excellent value, especially with all the facilities on site. We would definitely return!

Almost everything

The exceptions were a damaged sofa which couldn't really be sat on. And a boiler issue which meant it would make loud noises every time it was on. Subsequent waking us up early when we set it to come on the first morning. The owner got the boiler looked at but it required parts which didn't arrive during our stay.

The bed was very good, a good shower in the non on suite, location to the main building 200 yards. Every cooking cooking item, a cupboard with kids toys. Plenty of cutlery. Very clean apart from below.

Suite uncomfable, and broken but being replaced, microwave not working correctly, cooking flat trays very dirty and worn, toilet seat loose. TV a scratch on it. Fire not working. Freezer door stiff, bottom one. Front door stiff to shut
