First of all the host, Karen, was amazing from the minute we booked, to the day we checked out. She guided us through the process of checking in and was easy to get in contact with if we needed anything. Now the property, it was everything we could ever want in a 6 person accommodation. Really well decorated and designed throughout, very modern and made us feel very homely. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Location is very good for visiting the numerous natural and historic things to do in the area. The lodge was larger than expected and everything was very clean. There were numerous little touches such as a welcome basket.

The lodges are very close together and so there is little privacy. It was not a problem for us but it may be for some.

We can’t recommend this place enough, we had such a great stay at the Settlers Lodge! Everything you could wish for is there, even food for the birds and the squirrels that pass by the lodge every day☺️ The inside of the lodge is larger and cosier than it looks on the pictures. It is all well maintained and looked after with care and love. We enjoyed the hot tub on the veranda, watching Dexter on the huge tv and we slept like babies in the comfy beds. The direct surroundings of the park are so lovely, pieceful and quiet. Green all around. We even saw a deer in the small forest close to the park! From the lodge we made several day trips: walking to the Hareshaw Linn waterfall, hiking a bit of the Hadrian’s Wall Path and of course we visited Alnwick Castle. We went out for drinks and a delicious platter full of treats at William de Percy, right down in the village. A sincere shoutout to our hostess Karen. Although we never met in person she made us feel very welcome. She is so kind, supportive and replies to any queries you have almost instantly. Thank you so much for everything, Karen!
