Die Ausstattung der Küche (Pfannen etc.) ist in die Jahre gekommen und sollte erneuert werden.

GBWhat a lovely place to stay! The location was perfect for us. The lodge was far more spacious than it looked in the photos, and it was incredibly warm and comfortable with superb views. Honestly I could have just sat looking out of the window the whole time. It was very well set up for self-catering. I didn't really need any of the kitchen equipment I carry with me to every self-catering place we stay! The shower is something really special - and the water was so good! The hosts were lovely. There were more walks right from the door than we could do in a week, let alone the rest of the Peak District which was all no more than 30-40 minutes away. Shops in Bakewell and Buxton easy to get to. Very quiet. Very peaceful. Wifi was great. TV was fine, but barely used. My photos show the view from the property (the one with the open hillside) - for perspective I counted 72 sheep in that picture. ...and the view of the propery from the Monsal Trail. You can barely see it! What a great hideaway.
The weather could haver been better I suppose! Plus I should have brought my own pillow as I forget that most people prefer soft pillows, whereas I like more of a rock.
GBLovely place to stay, fantastic views across the Wye valley to the Monsal trail. Lovely to sit on the little balcony looking out across the valley in the evening, at sunset, listening to the song thrush. The accommodation, bed, kitchen facilities etc all very good. Only been once, but definitely intend to return. Recommend a walk up the valley to the Anglers Rest pub.
