GBSpacious, well-appointed and commodious annexe with stunning views over Monsal Dale and the River Wye. Large bedroom, comfortable bed, luxury bathroom & shower; decent TV & WiFi, a super mezzanine-level sitting area with log burner, and plenty games supplied to keep us occupied in the late afternoon/evenings. Wonderful walking straight from the doorstep, with several dales easily accessible on foot; and Bakewell within easy striking distance by car. Very friendly and helpful hosts. All in all, a superb Easter weekend, with amazing weather and some fabulous hiking. We especially enjoyed the treat of the local brass band playing hymns from the escarpment opposite on Good Friday, in honour of the season; and spent happy hours on the terrace overlooking THAT view!
Kitchen could be slightly better equipped for self-catering, however Helen very promptly supplied everything we asked for (and more). Also, I do love a big bath sheet! Finally, we made the error of assuming that there was a washing machine (without checking property facilities), just because one of the pictures showed one in the kitchen area.
GBThe view was phenomenal! The property was spacious and felt homely. The kitchen area was spacious and plenty of games etc for evenings. The bathroom was lovely, shower very good, loved the lighting in the bathroom.
There were a lot of cob webs in the bedroom on the back wall of where the bed was situated. The bed was a little hard and very creaky.
USRiver view has to be the most amazingly serene place I’ve stayed in quite some time, it was like a little slice of heaven and perfect for a relaxing holiday. We looked forward to opening the curtains every morning to the incredible almost alpine like views. The place was very clean, cozy and well equipped, we can’t wait to return.
GBThe location is in a very picturesque area, with a view out over the river and the hills that overlook it. The sunrise in the morning was really beautiful. The bathroom has a double sink, so we were both able to use them at the same time, which is really convenient in the mornings. It had everything we needed to accommodate us for a quiet weekend away from the kids exploring the surrounding area.

Plastic flowers and plants, out of season fairy lights - unduly tacky, the whole property would do better without them. No dishwasher.
GBThe facilities are spectacular. The communication with our host was very good. The views breathtaking. The walks lovely.. even when busy it felt really peaceful. Great tips from our host on where to walk.
The first thing to say is we would go again. The next few comments are even better ifs... it was easy to find the venue in the dark. There as a house manual and visitors book to sign.
