2 bed period cottage sleeps 4 in central Crickhowell

As vegans self-catering works for us. Being able to park in The Dragon carpark is a bonus. The refurbishment of the toilet is good.

Only downside is the beds are very narrow and we aren't large people. Removing the side table and having bigger bed would be a real plus.

Well appointed and decorated, clean.

Kitchen is very small so would have been challenging to cook for more than 2 of us or for more than a night or 2. Perfectly ok for a couple of days if you’re mostly eating out tho.

The cottage was so warm and cosy and full of little touches that made it feel homey. The staff at the Dragon (just round the corner) were so friendly and welcoming and in fact we ended up having breakfast in there each day and a nightcap most nights and allowed us to park in the car park, though finding a place on the street was not difficult.

Noise from the main A40 road. Windows were old fashioned sash type, but replacement may be subject to any listing's applied due to age of premises.

The location was very handy. Tasteful decor.

Traffic noise was disturbing particularly at night. Difficult to shut out the sound.

Perfectly located with easy street parking. The house itself was nicely furnished with everything required for self-catering. We really enjoyed our stay. Crickhowell itself is a perfect place to stay and explore the area.

One downside to the A40 passing within feet of the property is that it is quite busy and often loud with farm machinery - but this area is working farm country and we still slept quite well. Most of the upstairs windows are painted shut, so if you desire any fresh air, there are only a few upstairs windows you can open.
