The location was excellent and the house was well furnished and comfy. It was warm and easy to control the temperature/heating.

For the cost of the house we expected at least some minimal breakfast items to have been provided - ie milk, bread, eggs. This is what we have experienced in many others.

Women need more than a token loo roll in a single toilet facility.

"Beautiful, comfy, cosy cottage right in the heart of bustling Crickhowell."

9.0

Such a lovely cottage! Beautifully decorated, very clean, and lots of nice details to enjoy too. The beds were really comfy, and the house was warm when it was cool and cool when it was warm. The courtyard garden is a lovely place for a coffee in the sunshine with the sounds of Crickhowell high street all around you. Helpful having a separate toilet to the bathroom, and the shower was decent with plenty of really hot water. The key collection from the pub was easy (very nice people), and the landlord was full of useful advice and information too. You're really close to all the shops and pubs, and within walking distance of the bridge and castle too (play park by the castle is good if you have kids). Chinese takeaway is literally next door and is excellent, plus good value. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Car parking suggested at the pub was scary, though might have been because my first attempt was in the dark after a long drive: very narrow, and I can't stand when my parking sensors scream at me and I have to wind my wing mirrors in. After that we abandoned the idea and just went for the P&D over the road from the house, literally a minute's walk - £4 currently for 8am to 6pm, then free overnight - it can sometimes be quite busy in there but we had no problem finding a space.
