Milliner's Cottage

Beautiful cozy cottage with everything we needed. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Gorgeous location in the village with easy access to buses into York. Perfect stay.

Great location. Bus only 30 mins into York and village itself was quiet and full of the amenities you’d expect in a much bigger town.

Being really really picky here, but SKY tv would have been an added bonus but that wouldn’t stop us going again.

Location was brilliant for both Mother Shipton’s Cave and Castle Howard

The property was very clean, the hosts were friendly and accommodating. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. We loved the facilities and the little touches like the milk and cookies. Possibly the nicest accommodation we've used in the last 20 years.

Absolutely nothing

Great location for shops & restaurants/pubs. A great open plan size with lovely courtyard garden. Everything you need for self catering including little extras, milk, teabags, coffee & sugar and lovely biscuits. Comfortable beds and lovely log burner for use when needed. Overall excellent.

A bit noisy when central heating came on and some road noise with cars passing through.
