Bell Tower

The property has the potential to be an attractive, quirky, quiet, spacious place to stay and has a good new kitchen but..................

The beds were extremely uncomfortable - the double bed mattress desperately needs changing whilst the single beds were, to our taste, far too soft. The appearance of a mouse in the twin room did not help. The bathroom door did not shut - it has probably warped as there is no expelair. The floor outside the bathroom creaked badly so one woke up everyone when going to the loo in the night. There was rising damp in the lounge and hall, albeit we appreciate this can be difficult to deal with. There were no notes for guests nor any means of contacting the hosts, whom we never saw. Something about the history of the mansion would have been interesting as well as notes re local shops / places to eat, particularly given that few places provided meals on Sunday / Monday evenings. Much of the furniture was shabby and the choice of a light coloured carpet inevitably meant that areas were now badly soiled. Masses of hanging space but no shelves in the twin room. As holiday accommodation owners ourselves, we would be embarrassed to offer a property in that state.

The location great for getting in and out of Hereford but nice to be in the countryside. Amazing building with lots of lovely quirks

The shower was a little weak. Otherwise all good

Beautiful grounds. Very welcoming owner, who left us to it. Pub in walking distance and a close drive to Hereford centre.

Lovely rural place and everything you could wish for for a weekend away

Electricity went out in the area(totally not their fault I must add). Speaking to locals, it happens quite often, maybe have some torches available
