The Beehive - Self catering in the heart of the Forest of Dean

Very private and comfortable. A lovely cake that was waiting for us was a great start of our weekend. Place has everything what we needed for our short stay.

The property was cosy and squeaky clean. It was very well equipped and matched the description and photos. There were so many little extras that added comfort, for example extra pillows (but different from the ones already on the bed, to give people with sensitive necks like me an alternative 🤪); wireless phone charger; additional heaters; Bluetooth speaker; smart TV and streaming platforms with a dedicated account - in case you don’t have your own Netflix password handy… You can tell the hosts are very thoughtful given the attention they put in this place. They also left some mince pies for us given the season, and they put up a tiny Christmas tree too, so the place felt Christmassy without being overwhelmingly so. They provided clear instructions and were responsive. At the entrance of the property, there’s also a little section with some themed handcraft, some drinks and some honey that you can purchase. The property is located in a quiet, small village and is perfect to take walks in the nature around. We had a lovely time there and we highly recommend it!

Good access to many places we wanted to go to. Clean & looked after apartment, beautifully presented. Felt very welcomed

it rained so the local wildlife were hiding when we went exploring (my partner was desperate to see some wild boar lol)

What an absolute gem this little place is! We have family who live just a couple of miles away from this place and it was perfect for us to use as a hub. The little house has a bedroom and bathroom upstairs and a Kitchen and living area downstairs. An excellent TV and entertainment system (inc. Netflix). For roughly the same cost as a hotel room you get a whole house to stay in!
