Foxwood Lodge Private Hot Tub Getaway

Check-in was easy and straightforward. Great communication from hosts prior to arrival.

Cleanliness was not good. There were broken chairs outside, the decking was muddy, and the curtains had some mold on the linings. I don't understand how sweeping the decking area was not done for guests and broken furniture was removed. The freezer compartment was dirty also.

lovely peaceful park, small on site tavern which was very welcoming. The lodge is homely with tasteful decor. Our stay was over the xmas period and the lodge was decorated with xmas tree etc very pretty. Nice hot tub, excellant heating system which was much appreciated given the dates of our stay. Shower was very powerful with great hot water supply.

A welcome pack would have been a nice touch. We stay at many of these parks throughout the year and are always welcomed with a bottle of fizz. This would have been especially nice as our stay was over Xmas. At similar accommodation last year we were welcomed with fizz box of biscuits chocolates and a lovely Xmas card totally understand this is not something everyone would do but it does add a touch of luxury to your stay. The lodge was very clean, however there are a few minor things that need attention. The kitchen cupboard doors do not fit together properly you have to lift one to close another. The wardrobe door in the main bedroom needs fixing the bracket is broken so the door falls forward when you open it, the middle draw in the main bedroom came full out landing of my foot when we looked the runner was loose. The kitchen could do with more cutlery only 3 or 4 knives forks etc plus maybe a small supply of cleaning supplies appreciate its self catering but those little extra touches do make a difference. The hot tub lid has straps to keep it closed. These were broken so we had no way of securing the lid. It probably would not normally be an issue but we had exceptionally high winds during our stay so the lid was constantly flying open leaving the hot tub exposed being able to secure it with the straps would have stopped us worrying about any damage. The decking was like a skating ring first thing on a morning even the dog couldn't stand on it lol could be very dangerous maybe some anti slip mats would be a good idea during the winter months Prior to our arrival we had good communication from the host and contact numbers were provided in case of any problems so I appreciate we could have contacted someone with any of the issues. However whilst they do need attention (they could not stop the wind lol) as it was over the Christmas period and the issues did not spoil our stay in any way we decided to leave them in peace to enjoy their Christmas.

Location of these lodges are amazing we have been coming to this lodge holiday park since 2022 and we can't get enough! Every time we come we always want to stay and never go back home 😁 it's peaceful, relaxing, owners are very helpful, shop is two seconds away and as pool lovers over the bridge into the next lodge holiday park there is a pub with a games room down stairs that is full of games for children of all ages and pool for the adults 🤗 the thing that stood out tho was how the owners had decorated the lodge with Christmas decorations it was so beautiful!

This lodge is beautiful it's very hard to fault anything, however we did notice some things that needed a little fix for example the wardrobe doors don't fit together you have to pull one up to close or close them at the same time, in the kitchen the cupboards under the sink also don't fit together you have to lift it up and push in close, and the keys are abit rusty so getting them into the door is abit difficult you have to wiggle it around to finally get in it.

Great location for seeing all area's of Northumberland, very comfortable lodge, quiet, relaxed get away and not overlooked, amazing hot tub with a wonderful decked area,safe for dog as well as little ones.The site is very maintained,clean and tidy. Crazy horse saloon bar a great place to chillax and ear, do a mean pulled pork and dirty fries. Hosts were very prompt in replying and resolved any queries in a timely manner.Can't wait for another great stay

Thoughtless neighbour disturbing the peace by using hot tub until 2am, was only the sat night gone for rest of our stay
