Foxwood Lodge Private Hot Tub Getaway

Lovely lodge on a great site. Tavern on-site small but very friendly and comfortable. Great play area for the kids. The lodge was clean, cosy and spacious. More than enough room to set up our travel cot in the main bedroom. No pet smells (we don’t have pets so this was a huge positive for me haha). Loved the fox themed touches. Hot tub was fab. Easy access, clear instructions and very responsive hosts. Location was good for the Alnwick garden which we loved. Also not far from the coast amble which we also loved!

Unfortunately hot tub maintenance began at 8am the day we checked out so we couldn’t use the facilities in the morning as we had planned. Also meant the shower was not useable as it affected the pressure. Felt uncomfortable and uneasy having a person stood on the decking chatting to passers by right outside the patio doors when we were sat in our jamas having breakfast. Clean up could perhaps commence when current guests leave at 10:00 so facilities are accessible. Other than that amazing and would 100% recommend to all

Very unhelpful hosts when asking for help. Sunday we had a swarm of black beetles that got into the hot tub as the cleaner had left the lid up. When we contacted the owner they could not get anyone to come and clean the hot tub making it unusable (even though they had been there that morning). There were no cleaning aids or net supplied to clean the hot tub ourselves. The swarm meant we had to close all the windows and doors of the lodge, (which is actually a static caravan). We totally accept we were in the countryside and this is outside anyone's control but the hosts were very unhelpful and said as it was a Sunday nothing could be done. We booked this specifically for the use of the hot tub and as the caravan had no air conditioning it became unbearably hot we felt we had no other option other than to leave the property and booked into a nearby hotel. This was our mini honeymoon for two nights which was totally ruined.

It was really clean, good location to where we wanted to go. A private hot tub with a view.

Nothing apart from the outside could have had cushions for the furniture, the ones that where on the swing seat where dirty and wet.

The location was lovely, and the cleanness and condition of the lodge was amazing! Will 100% be back

The Wi-Fi wasn’t too great disconnected multiple times throughout our stay and wouldn’t let us join back for around 20-30 mins at a time. Also kept freezing the TV due to bad connection
