Swan walkers cottage

Excellent cottage, heating was on when we arrived, the internet was good, there was a parking space, it was clean and tidy, the host was excellent and welcoming, answering within minutes. Perfect for our family trip!

Comfy beds

Dirty, smelt musty and of dogs. Furniture was old and shabby. Cold, the heating did not come on until after we arrived, had to wear coats for 3 hours after arrival. No information at all, had to Google cooker ibstructions. Mat around basin dirty. A mouse ran through lounge. I am a seasoned traveller but this is the worst property I have stayed in.

Lovely little cottage

No outside light indicating location. No welcome pack ie milk, coffee etc. Only one toilet roll in each bathroom and they weren't half used. No shower or bathroom essentials. Towels were way to small, showers were freezing cold. Mice running around in the night. All in all very disappointed especially paying £180 for one night. 😒

It was convenient and accepted dogs.

The entrance was initially hard to find especially as we arrived in the dark so we both drove past it initially and then had to turn round on a busy dark road : a luminous sign or even a light in the car park would have helped and been less dangerous. The trinkets and artefacts in the cottage were a bit weird which made it feel cold and even haunted! This was fine for us as we only needed three beds for the night but may not be for others.
