The Cottage

Breakfast was not included in the deal.

The people next door, had a dog that barked until well after midnight!

As our visit was to enable us to see family, this was perfect for us.

The hot water system - instructions were provided but we never managed to get hot water.

The location was brilliant to explore the area. Few pubs close by were decent. Cottage had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. The beds were comfortable and all bedrooms were nice. Beds were immaculate.

We've stayed in many places around same price before but were dissappointed with our choice this time. On arriving at the cottage it looked rundown in comparison to neighbouring properties . On entering the downstairs of the cottage it looked very tired. Quite shocked to see a leather sofa nearly thread bare with slits in it. Carpets were also badly stained. Bathroom wasn't pleasant so far to say probably not modernised since the 1980s. The upstairs was better thankfully. This little cottage could be a little gem if given tlc it needs.

Cottage situated in a row of cottages surrounded by beautiful countryside. Beautiful view over garden & hedgerows. Quiet & peaceful. The living & bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen well equipped. It rained a great deal & temperatures dropped while we were there so we appreciated the coziness when we came back in the evening.

It’s not really suitable for people with physical limitations. In our case it would have been better if there had been a toilet upstairs. I went with my sister & husband and they had to sleep separately for him to have easy access to the toilet. Double bed upstairs. Also he was unable to stand in the bath as it’s rather curved at the bottom. A walk in shower would have been more practical for him.
