Forest lodge

It’s a nice static caravan, on the whole as seen in pictures reasonable quality and considering costs of other parks this time of year quite reasonably priced on a nice site with good facilities. Had a nice stay.

- had real issue with hot water, it start’s scolding then last 10 mins , not enough for family. Reported while there and to owners credit they messaged and attended while we were out but didn’t fix it and put down to small tank. I have stayed in many similar statics and never had the issue. We showered at swimming pool. - owners need to respond to feedback already given , as previously stated in other reviews it needs more blankets and spare pillows as ones provided are not great. And as stated you can’t see markings on oven. - also , as other people say they advertise in the pictures the pool on the site but only mention after booking you have to pay for passes for this . But do arrange this for you -while generally clean would benefit from a deep clean, only had to lift cushions , look at top of blinds to see dirt. Shower door not great etc

Dirty, run down, uncomfortable, over priced, poorly described, no thermostat so very cold or very hot when switched on. Toaster broken although replaced after I contacted the owner. Weird contact from the owner asking us to leave more money?

Kettle was filthy, had water and bits floating inside and full of limescale so didn’t use. Hot water was a massive issue, only had warm water throughout our stay and the shower in the morning lasted all of around 2 minutes before it went freezing cold and you’d had to wait around half hour to get more warm water so only one of us managed to have a shower for the price we paid we would of expected to have a decent working shower. We’ve stayed in many places like this and never had any issues with hot water wasn’t advised by host there was an issue with this and everything was switched on as the host was at the property when we arrived. Heating wasn’t great and took a very long time to feel warm, there was a booster button but didn’t seem to do anything. We had it on boost for an extra hour and radiators still felt cold. Glasses in the cupboard were also dirty so had to rewash them before we could leave.

Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped kitchen.
