Forest lodge

Lovely peaceful location. We cycled into the New Forest directly from the site without going on any main roads. Very tidy lodge.

The twin beds are quite narrow and not really suitable for full grown adults! Great for kids though. Double room v comfortable.

Fantastic location, very relaxed and helpful staff. Nothing seemed to be too much of a problem. Would recommend to other people for a holiday We will return.

We felt the food at the venue was at the top end in terms of cost but the quality was below middle standard.

Mick was exceptionally vigilant coming up to our stay, dealt with an unexpected issue with the Spa people very quickly and was very obviously on the ball, proud of their property and keen to ensure any potential problems were resolved fast. Without a doubt this is a 'find' if you don't want a hotel, and given the self catering element saves a lot of money. In the sun it would have been very easy to sit on the balcony all day listening to the faint hum of a lawnmower and the birds singing, but we had things to do. Parking effortless, and once the easy location is identified it became a home from home. We'll definitely return.

Sat Nav doesn't identify the location well. The advertised address would benefit from letting us know to look out for Hoburne. In the rain, in the dark and at midnight it was a touch stressful to find. A few parts of the lodge were broken or failing but this had no effect on the quality of our stay. The TV, whilst an excellent up to date model had a remote with a mind of it's own occasionally!
