Self catering, location was great, the house was extremely clean, bright and airy. Village setting with three lovely pubs for an evening stroll. Home from home.

"Lovely stay."

From the photos I was expecting high spec and tasteful decor and I wasn't disappointed. What I wasn't expecting was beautiful, real house plants enhancing the place, instead of false, plastic ones! The entrance to the yard was charming, with huge pots of agapanthus as you approach. Parking outside the gates was easy, and not a problem. We had a lovely stay, and look forward to visiting again in the future. The space was light and airy, comfortable and warm. We loved the small, enclosed garden, with comfortable garden furniture, in good order.The hosts were lovely, and a pleasure to meet. The cottage is in a great spot for the deli/store on the corner, and the three pubs. Everyone in the village we met was warm and friendly.

One tiny thing. We had a bath towel each, but there was only one shared hand towel, in the bathroom. We could have done with one each as well. Also a hand towel in the kitchen as well as the tea towel would have been useful.

"Lovely spot in a traditional Derbyshire village"

Beautiful decor, really well equipped, very light inside, lovely courtyard garden to sit in if weather is ok. TV had all the apps - Netflix etc. Dog friendly, great location behind the farm shop and a short stroll to 3 different pubs. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Parking was potentially a problem but when the neighbour went away it was easier. Abit overlooked upstairs.

Beautiful cottage inside and out, immaculately presented with everything you could need 3 lovely pubs in the village within a few minutes walk we would like to have been able to sit in the lovely garden more, but unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side !! i would highly recommend Garden Cottage - you wont be disappointed
