Garden Cottage - Ashover Village near Matlock

The best holiday cottage I've stayed in. I can't rate it highly enough. And with the farm shop and Stamp Cafe almost next door, as well as three pubs, Ashover village is wonderful. Thank you David and Lisa for a gem of a holiday let.

We absolutely loved this wee cottage. It was very well presented and scrupulously clean. The hosts thought of everything including blankets and bowl for our dog. The garden was completely secure and safe. We would have stayed here longer if we'd known how nice it was going to be. We would totally recommend this property.

Honestly can't think of anything we didn't like or would improve.

VERY impressed. My Wife and I were surprised by the sense of space and facilities (it even had a rotary washing line!). All needs catered for. We were very tankful to return to this property after a day in the pouring rain

I found the shampoo, etc caddy (in the shower) to be a wee bit to high. My Wife and I would have preferred to have a larger quit on the bed, when we had a double bed we used a king sized quilt

The place was beautiful and clean,everything you could need, a really home from home. Lovely touches, like extra blankets, toiletries, dog stuff ,couldn't ask for more,thank you x

Not a don't like, but a sweeper brush or stick vacuum, as I couldn't clean the floors as much as wanted, as only dust pan,and I have sciatica.

location great. bed comfortable. garden lovely. clean and tidy. easy to use cooker and spacious fridge freezer.

no privacy inside as windows everywhere. difficulty getting used to a modern TV. As a pensioner, not used to Netflix and lots of different stations. Found it difficult to find normal channels. Felt entrance to bathroom was very near top of stairs. Had to be careful when half asleep in middle of night. No baking sheets to put a pizza on in oven.

Really lovely, cosy property. Well located for central Peak District NP.

The location was excellent with plenty of walks available straight from the property. Close to 3 decent pubs and a cafe serving good breakfasts. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.
