Garden Cottage - Ashover Village near Matlock

Garden Cottage looks like it has been recently refurbished so the standards are very high. The kitchen is very well equipped (including the sharp kitchen knife which seems to be omitted from most holiday lets). You may think a 1 bedroom property may be small however there was plenty of room for the 2 of us and the dog. All furniture was like new and the bed was very comfortable. Although we didn't meet the owners they do live next door so I guess if there was a problem it would be quickly resolved. We would definitely stay here again.

This isn't a complaint and it wasn't really a problem but the parking space feels like it may be a hindrance to the next door property and when we came back on one of the evenings someone else had parked in our spot. There were other places to park but only in front of neighbouring properties which may cause upset some people.

The Property was in a lovely location and had everything we needed.

Gorgeous small property, lovely little enclosed garden full of birds in the morning. Beautiful and comfortable.

Maybe leave the light on so it's easier to find key safe on arrival?

What a beautiful cottage. Well designed and equipped, beautifully decorated, with a tiny but very nice garden, and dog friendly. Above all, we have felt very welcome here. Ashover is a very nice village and close to the Peak District. Would we like to stay at this place again? Absolutely!!

A very cute, quirky and cosy cottage. Everything available inside. Situated in a quiet, historical little village, with a welcoming community. Lots of walks to get into the immediate Derbyshire countryside or easy driving to travel around it, to visit places.

Parking for 1 car needed to be specific during stay, which initially felt awkward but was no problem at all over the stay.

we recieved brilliant communication on the lead up to our stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated, lovely and light. It was well equipped for our needs (lovely local milk in the fridge on arrival). The garden was a perfect private space to relax after a fay of hiking. AND the house is located behind a gorgeous farm shop with lots of fresh produce. we would definitely stay again

Comfortable, quiet. Great walks from the door & 3 good pubs & a couple of shops. Good, safe garden for dog.

Garden Cottage was a lovely home from home - beautiful location and so much nicer than an impersonal hotel room.
