"Little gem!"

10.0

Fabulous little cottage in the centre of Ashover! Well equipped, clean, and comfortable. We were in the village for a wedding, so we only stayed 2 nights. Wish it could have been longer! The communication from start to finish was excellent!

"Lovely Cottage"

10.0

Lovely cottage with great little garden. Looks just like the pictures. Great location. Friendly neighbours. Everything you need is there. Check out the Crispin Inn nearby, we ate there and had a great night watching a live 80s band.

Personal preference, but the mattress was uncomfortable for me and you couldn't move without waking up your partner. Not a complaint though, as understand you can't please everyone.

"Loved it, would stay again."

10.0

It was so light, the sofa was comfy, the bed was comfy. It had a dishwasher and washing machine, plus a washing line outside which came in very handy as our clothes got sweaty on our long walks. Loads of plates, mugs and bowls, kitchen had everything you needed and it was good equipment. Garden had lots of sun spots. Good shower, towels were nice and fluffy. So many walks right off your doorstep you can walk for miles without having to get in the car. 3 pubs in the village, a cafe and 2 shops but still has a small village feel.

If you do have a reactive dog, the garden is next door to the cemetery pathway and the gates to the garden are metal so you can see through, our young dog would frequently get triggered in the garden but there were quite a few woofy dogs around the village and they all set each other off sometimes. Also, not a negative but just for us personally, the laminate floor is quite slippy for dogs and in hindsight we should have bought our grippy yoga mats for our senior pup. Our house also now feels dark in comparison to how much light was in the property! We’ll miss it!

"Lovely cottage for two"

8.0

The house was beautiful, clean and welcoming. The garden was a treat, especially watching the nesting birds. Just the right amount of space for two.

Small things. There were no instructions available for any electric/electronic appliances. Towels were very small. Bath sheets would be more comfortable. Lack of a larger sharp knife in the kitchen. We didn't cook much, so didn't use pans, etc.

"Beautiful little Cottage in rural Derbyshire"

I can't fault this property, maybe for some guests the stairs are a little steep so might need to point that out.

"Beautiful location with exceptional hosts!"

10.0

Loverly peaceful location, looks excatly like the pictures. with an easy 15 minute drive to local shops or attractions. Local farm shop on your door step, meat was beautiful, definitely worth a visit. The hosts thought of everything you could possible need in the house and these attentions to detail we really did appreciate and exceeded our expectations! Would highly recommend!
