Garden Cottage - Ashover Village near Matlock

Incredibly cosy and comfortable little cottage, with everything we needed. Great location, and really helpful information before check in. Loved our stay, really relaxing 😌

Nothing to dislike!

Beautifully equipped cottage in the centre of this lovely village. Lots of great dog walks from the door.

We had a very pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfy and I was very impressed with the kitchen facilities which included a coffee machine, washing machine and dishwasher and had everything you needed from a 2night stay or much longer. The temperature of the house was very good with an easy to control thermostat. Every room is decorated lovely, with a newly refurbished bathroom. Can tell that the property is well cared for and the hosts take pride in the little gem they have in Ashover. The Stamp Coffee Shop around the corner was very pleasant and had friendly staff, may be worth reserving a table if your wanting to visit, as it does get busy.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, it was all very pleasant. We did think a nice additional feature would be a tv in the bedroom, however appreciate there is a tv downstairs and not everyone likes a tv in a bedroom, maybe it’s just a generation z preference 😊. Also we took the directions of where to park and that was absolutely fine, however noticed that there is a sign next to the “space” which says no parking please so contradicted itself, however appreciate this may have been a sign put up by the neighbour.

Nice quiet location with a cafe, shop and pubs all very close. Access to walks in the countryside and a short drive to others and places to visit. The furnishing and decor is lovely.
