Plough Cottage

Beautiful setting and location, opposite a very good pub serving excellent food and local beer. Well designed layout and fully equipped cottage which was very clean and had everything you needed. We really enjoyed looking through the renovation journey in the brochure provided. As a family with young children, the facilities of having a washing machine and tumble dryer were an added bonus, even on our short stay. Our six year old particularly enjoyed reading the childrens books provided! Travel cot was supplied with extra mattress which was an additional plus for us! No highchair supplied but we took our own IKEA one which is so easy to assemble and disassemble it was no problem and the seat doubled up as a bathseat for bath times. We particularly enjoyed feeding the ducks down the road, the Post Office does excellent breakfast rolls to take away as well. We tried the Schoolrooms on our last morning and would definitely return to try their food. Plenty of walks from the doorstep of the cottage. We would certainly stay again!

Cottage was beautiful, with everything you could need. Immaculately clean. All facilities, furnishings etc were of a very high standard.

A beautifully renovated property that had everything we needed

Just 1 minor thing - the downstairs, where the bedrooms are, did take quite a while to warm up with the underfloor heating so it was quite cold under foot. Once it got up to temperature in the night it was ok for the rest of the stay.

The lack of outdoor space (just a bench @ the front) given the amazing views at the back. Sad that you weren't allowed your roof terrace. Blackout blinds in the bedrooms would have been appreciated.

the location is great, there are some lovely walks near by as well as pubs with great food. The cottage is very spacious, clean and fresh.

The layout of the cottage felt open and spacious. Finding a place like this that is also dog friendly is very rare! The walks and scenery around you felt like you were miles away but only 15 minutes from Sheffield.

Gorgeous location Cosy cottage that was really warm

Host very good and responsive, even though we booked super late. Very accommodating! Excellent location, so close to Sheffield where my partner was working and then very close to lots of lovely walks for me and the dog! The cottage is very cosy, brilliant underfloor heating, lovely little pub opposite.
