"Great apartment. Great base. Town, not so good."

Spacious and well equipped apartment. Centre of town. Good base to explore the Yorkshire moors and only an hour from The Lake District too.

Kirkby Steven is dead after 9pm. Difficult to get food after 8pm. This was in May but there were plenty of tourists around.

"A very enjoyable stay right in the heart of Kirkby Stephen"

- Loved the little hamper of goodies on arrival - very thoughtful - Great location - easy walk to shops, pubs, Stainmore railway, the viaduct circular walk etc. - Hosts were great with communication via Booking.com DMs - Well equipped kitchen for any cooking that I needed to do - Off-road parking very handy as I didn't need to trawl around to find a space nearby

Musty damp smell on arrival & shower controls seemed to be a choice of either hot or scalding Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Roomy and cosy with all expected facilities

Great difficulty in gaining access. The owner apparently texted us with the key code, which we never received. We had to track down the owner.

"Perfect!!!"

Absolutely immaculate cottage. Bedding and towels were luxurious. Shower was amazing. Lots of little extras provided for us. The owner was very helpful prior to our stay and responded to messages quickly. Honestly couldn’t have asked for more. Just perfect!

"Really enjoyed our break."

The location was great. In the middle of the village so not far to go to the shops and restaurants. The cottage was extremely comfortable and the hosts provided us with a few treats.

It is an exceptional Rental Property. The hosts were in touch to make sure that everything was okay for us. The apartment was really well equipped and the hosts had left us a welcome hamper. We really appreciated the washing machine and clothes airer, as we had already been staying in another property the preceding week and needed some clothes washed. The apartment is conveniently situated in a quiet street that runs parallel to the Main Street and has parking to the rear of the property. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom has a huge shower, and the lounge has comfortable leather sofa and a huge modern TV.

We loved the apartment and there was nothing to be improved upon.
