Beautiful house, very spacious, perfect for our group

Great location for our trip. Comfortable open plan living space.

The ceiling in the downstairs bathroom is black and mouldy. There has obviously been a serious leak in the past. This requires attended to. Dirty water also pours out into the bath. There are no bins in any of the bathrooms or bedrooms. Only 1 bin in the kitchen. The shower pressure in the master en-suite is poor and there is a problem with the flush on the WC

it was a beautiful spacious house and felt very homely and comfortable.

The kitchen cupboard door handles were very grubby and we had to wash some items before we were able to use them. lots of cobwebs and handprints all over the patio doors. also some chopped crockery. would be better to have a door on the second en suite for privacy. rug in the green bedroom is a real trip hazard and easily remedied.

The house is beautiful, well presented, perfect size bedrooms and communal spaces. the location is lovely and I wish we would of had chance to explore the surroundings more but it was only 15min taxi into the centre also.

There is nothing not to like! One guest did say the downstairs room in the extension was cold during the night but I’m sure the property manager would of helped with that if we reached out

The house is lovely and in a great location, very easy access to the city centre and just around the corner from a lovely pub (oldest in Edinburgh!) called The Sheep Heid Inn which is well worth a visit. The house is spacious and had all the facilities required. It was a great base for our family trip to Edinburgh.

Unfortunately we were a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. Upon our arrival a bin was left in the middle of the front garden and there was overflowing rubbish around the bins outside the front of the house which didn’t give us the best first impression. There are no instructions given if you are supposed to put the outdoor bins out to be emptied and we, as I assume other guests will be also, would have been happy to do this to ensure the bins are emptied as required. The mattresses are quite hard and the beds are incredibly squeaky. The house is in a great location but considering it is quite a bit more expensive than other properties we looked at prior to booking, it could do with a bit of an update and a good deep clean. Given we were out exploring Edinburgh the majority of the time, it served as a great base for us and we would stay there again.

This is a lovely house. It is a good size for a larger group / family.

It was cold upon arrival and took quite a long time to get it warmed up. There were a few maintenance issues, including the doors onto the garden not being in full working order. (stuck open upon arrival & then once we had spoken to the host, stuck closed as we were too worried to open again incase the broken door handle would not work). Problem with upstairs bathroom flush. Shutters to bedrooms not lockable.

Living area

Bathroom showers not that good, heating not explained as well as it could be, one day we were all freezing. Needs a few repairs doing, kitchen doors, bin, outside in the garden a bit shabby-Water feature not working, table screwed together
